My art is all about discovery and exploration -- within the medium and within myself. Every time I step before a new canvas, it is with the same excitement I felt when I first began painting 30 years ago. And the challenge never changes -- will I be able to convey the deep emotional response I originally felt about a subject. Whether it is about the light, composition or sense of place, conveying the motivation behind the painting is the challenge. The joy of painting never ends as each canvas represents a new beginning and a new challenge.”
